Photo Gallery - Glimpses of the Karoo

Karoo means "Land of Thirst", and most parts of the Karoo are arid, with rugged rock formations and hardy Karoo veld. Plains stretch to the horizon, broken only by "Karoo blue" mountains in the distance of the occasional emerald splash of a sheep farm homestead garden.
