Umsobomvu Mohair Weavers
This mohair weaving project started in 2001 with 3 unemployed women who had skills in spinning, weaving and sewing. The number of employees increased to 17 over the last 6 years. The project strive to become a successful and sustainable wool, textile and clothing co-operation.
During your visit, you can see the spinning of wool and mohair, and the weaving process. All spinning and weaving is done by hand.
Quality products can be bought at the factory, such as mohair wall hangings, floor rugs, woven blankets, mohair scarves, Place mats, school uniforms and traditional attire.
