What To See
The area is recognised for its herbal plant life that grows naturally in the fields, and is also one of the few, and best, places in the world where fossil life have been discovered as well as San Rock Art in caves from the first known human inhabitants, the San Bushmen.
Local artists, Leather crafts, pure woollen products, mohair products, herbal medicines and many more crafts are all displayed in shops in town.
The local tourism office manages a flea market every 3 months. It is held on a Saturday in the Mayors’ Garden, and the ideal opportunity for new craftsmen to display and sell their crafts.
